Program Requirements
The Product Management for Manufactured Goods program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage existing products and the development and launch of new manufactured products.
Students complete the certification program (15 credits) in the fall and have the option to continue the program in the spring to earn a master’s degree (for a total of 36 credits).
Certificate in Product Management for Manufactured Goods
The professional certification program provides three industry-recognized credentials: Microsoft Excel certification, Six Sigma White Belt certification, and Product Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Ready certification.

MGT 5500 Data Analytics and Excel Fundamentals (3 credits)
Begin the program with a guided independent study.
Fall – 1st 7 weeks

Fall – 2nd 7 weeks
- MGT 5503 Product Marketing for Manufactured Goods (3 credits)
- MGT 5504 Engineering and Manufacturing Foundations (3 credits)
Master of Science in Product Management
To earn a Master of Science in Product Management, students must complete all required courses for the certification (shown above) and the courses listed below:

- MGT 5050 Financial Analysis for Decision-Making (3 credits)
Spring – 1st 7 weeks
- MGT 5120 Disruptive Innovation (3 credits)

Spring – 2nd 7 weeks
- MGT 5110 Design, Innovation and Sustainability (3 credits)
